that What time of day is best for a family photoshoot?

The best time for photos is during the “golden hour,” i.e. just after sunrise or before sunset. The light is soft and warm, making everyone look their best. If that doesn’t work, we can also choose a shaded location for midday shoots.

Can we choose the location, or do you provide recommendations?

You can choose a location that’s special to you. Or I can recommend some great spots around Warragul and nearby areas. Parks, fields, and scenic lookouts are popular choices. Together, we’ll find the perfect place for your session.

Do you offer mini-sessions, or are all your sessions full-length?

Yes, I offer both mini-sessions and full-length sessions. Mini sessions are great for quick updates or busy families. Full-length sessions give us more time to capture a variety of shots and locations. Above you can see the packages are available. But remember: we can also design custom packages to fit your needs.

How do you handle kids who are shy or don’t like having their photo taken?

I take a gentle and fun approach with kids. We play games, let them explore, and give them time to feel comfortable. The goal is to capture natural, happy moments without making them feel pressured.

Can extended family members join the session?

Anytime! Extended family sessions are great ways to include grandparents, cousins, or other loved ones. Let me know in advance so we can plan the session to include everyone.

Do you provide props for the photo shoot, or should we bring our own?

I have some simple props like blankets and chairs, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Items like toys, picnic baskets, or personal keepsakes can make the photos more meaningful.

What happens if someone in the family gets sick before the session?

If someone is unwell, let me know as soon as possible. We can reschedule the session for another day. I want everyone to feel their best during the shoot.

What should we wear for our photoshoot?

Wear outfits that make you feel both comfortable and confident. Choose colors that complement each other rather than matching exactly. Avoid busy patterns or logos, and consider layers to add depth to the photos.

How long will the session take?

Most sessions take about between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the package and number of people. This gives us enough time to capture a variety of poses and candid moments without feeling rushed.

Where do you recommend we have our photoshoot?

I recommend beautiful local spots like Civic Park, Mount Worth State Park, or other scenic areas around Warragul. If you have a favorite place, we can use that too. It’s all about finding a location that feels meaningful to you.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the shoot?

Overcast skies often make for great photos, but rain or strong wind might require a change of plans. If the weather isn’t ideal, we can reschedule for another day or switch to an indoor location.

Do you offer guidance for posing, or will the session be candid?

I offer a mix of both! I’ll guide you into natural poses but also encourage candid moments where you interact as a family. This helps create a balance of posed and spontaneous photos.

Can we include pets in our photoshoot?

Yes, pets are always welcome! They’re part of the family, too. Let me know in advance so we can plan around their needs and ensure they feel comfortable during the session.

What’s included in the package price?

Packages typically include the session time, professional editing, and a set number of high-resolution digital images. Some packages may also include prints or albums. I’ll go over all the details with you before booking.

How far in advance should we book a session?

It’s best to book 2-4 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date, especially during busy seasons like spring and summer. For special events, try to book even earlier.

Do you edit the photos, and what’s included in the editing process?

Yes, I professionally edit all the photos. This includes color correction, adjusting lighting, and enhancing details. My goal is to make your photos look polished while keeping them natural.

How many photos will we receive, and how long will it take to get them?

The number of photos depends on the package you choose, but typically, you’ll receive 20-50 edited images. Delivery usually takes 2-3 weeks, but I’ll keep you updated throughout the process.

Can we print the photos ourselves, or do you provide prints?

You can print the photos yourself using the high-resolution digital files I provide. I also offer professional printing services if you’d like high-quality prints, albums, or wall art.

Do you have experience working with children, especially toddlers or babies?

Yes, I have lots of experience photographing kids of all ages. I know how to keep toddlers engaged and how to work around babies’ routines. Patience and flexibility are key!

Can we request specific shots or poses for our photos?

Of course you can. Above and beyond the usual shots most customers expect, each family has their own specific needs. As long as you discuss it with me during the preparation time we should be able to work it out.

Do you work alone, or do you have a team of photographers?

I mostly work alone. Sometimes (when needed) I will get additional help to make sure that we do ‘n good job.

What equipment do you use, and do you have backup gear in case of technical issues during the wedding?

I use only my own professional photographic equipment, but will hire additional professional photographic equipment if required by the job I am hired for.
