Family and Lifestyle
Photographer
Available in Bunyip

Family and lifestyle photography is all about capturing special moments in your life… moments like birthday parties, the birth of a child, a moment in the history of your family, or anniversaries.  It may also be a way of capturing your home, the decor of a function, or any objects you want to capture in a beautiful way.

You want to recall these moments: see it… feel it… relive it! Again and again. Vivid. Close to your heart.

That’s why your family and lifestyle photographer creates beautiful pictures…

  • in images of the raw, unposed moments in the day… the candid photos… the natural portraits…. and the unique details that you would like to remember,
  • in pictures that are authentic expressions of who you and your family are,
  • in a “documentary” that captures the moment, ceremony od people you would like to remember, and
  • in a way that allows you to enjoy the photography shoot.

More about Suzanne Fouché:

Becoming a family and lifestyle photographer seldom  starts in a moment or with a single decision. It usually starts with a passion… a passion to see the world through a lens of beauty. Looking for beauty all around you. Beauty in places, people and things. After that comes the hard part of mastering the skills and the intricacies of creating pictures that touch your heart.

My photography journey started at a fairly young age…

Welcome to Bunyip, Victoria in Austalia

Bunyip is a small, friendly town in West Gippsland, Victoria. It sits about 85 kilometers southeast of Melbourne, making it an easy day trip from the city. Surrounded by lush farmland, rolling hills, and forests, Bunyip offers a peaceful escape from busy city life.

A Short History of Bunyip

The name “Bunyip” comes from an Aboriginal word referring to a mythical creature that lived in swamps, rivers, and billabongs. Early settlers adopted the name, and it became part of the area’s identity.

Bunyip began as a small settlement in the 1850s, proliferating when the railway line from Melbourne to Gippsland was built in the 1870s. The town became a stop for travelers and a hub for local farmers to transport their goods. Timber and dairy farming were important industries, and they continue to play a role in the area today.

Over time, Bunyip has grown into a charming country town while keeping its peaceful, laid-back atmosphere.

Why Visit Bunyip?

Bunyip is the perfect mix of rural beauty and small-town charm. It’s surrounded by green pastures, nearby forests, and winding country roads. The town’s main street has old buildings, small shops, and cozy cafes where locals gather. Whether you’re exploring nature, learning history, or simply relaxing, Bunyip has something to offer.

There are four-wheel drive tracks, horse riding trails, and mountain biking routes for the adventurous.

The park is also home a group of giant granite boulders called the Four Brothers Rocks – offering stunning views of the forest.

Bunyip’s main street has retained its historic country charm. The Bunyip Railway Station (which first opened in the 1870s), is a reminder of the town’s connection to the railway. You can take a stroll down the street, visit small local shops, grab a coffee at one of the cafes or just stroll down the street to soak in the town’s quiet charm.
